Ramblings about J

School is coming to an end. Anak aku dah nak finish kindergarten and starts the REAL world..gasp! How did that happen? Betapalah time zooms pass you by.. I'm still coming to grasp with it. Nanti sedar2 dah nak masuk sekolah menengah. Sure mommy sayu2.. Before you know it, dah masuk uni and tak ingat aku..WAAAA!!! (yes, over!)

This week, each time he'll tell me he's too lazy to go to school, i'll tell him..jgnlah. Just finish the week. After this you won't step foot in Bahtera Ilmu anymore. You're a big kid now. Have to go to SKBJ with a gazillion other kids! Well i do worry whether he'll be fine coping with new environment, longer class hours and canteen operations. Bkn reti count money pun; yg he knows when he wants something, mommy or papa will provide the cash. Ada once i gave him RM5 to buy roti telur. Dia memandai order teh o' ais skali duit tak cukup and he panicked. Merah padam muka running to me in the car minta additional cash; siap bebel you gave me insufficient cash LOL! Rupanya harga roti telur tu pun dah increased. If jln dgn the papa, lagilah no limit. Belilah apa nak. Nak beli kedai tu skali pun boleh :P

Anyhoo i remembered our conversation yesterday evening.
M: J, what do you feel like having for dinner? (i ask him this daily then negotiate my way around)
J: Porridge! (Uncle Lim's. We love it!)
M: OK. Can we go home first and change clothes?
J: OK. Can you something real nice?
M: Huh. Why do you say that?
J: Well you are slim, so you can wear something nice.
M: Really? I am slim?
J: Yes!
M: But opah always says i'm fat. (GRRRR)
J: No lah. You're slim. But your butt is BIG!
M: Thank You! But sabar jelah kata my butt is big.....
J: Ya lah!
I take this as kids being awfully honest. So dear mom, thank you for draining it on that kid that his mom is fat and not succeeding! Clearly, his loyalty lies with his parents. First and foremost ;) Mumsie's just envious her butt is flat. :D

Then i remembered another conversation late one night at mom's while he was guzzling plain water like nobody's business before bed. At other times, he always resist drinking plain water. Too many excuses. Blame the dad!
M: J, don't drink too much water. It's bedtime. Nanti you'll wet the bed. Opah will turn CRAZY!
J: Chill mom. Plain water's good. (copy my sentence) Besides don't you know bedwetters are actually CLEVER people? (with dead-pan serious face)
M: What the???? Pandailah kau nk twist and turn words to save your butt! Since when is there ever a saying or study?
J: Grins cheekily.
Note: that night he did not wet the bed. But the night before, he did and it drove me mad. When i asked, he said it's only water. Water from the sky, is it???!!!!
