Ahoy!

We went aboard MV Logos Hope one fine Saturday evening. Jib was excited to be on a ship. The last time we did, he was still a baby; couldn't remember much now. Previously there was a MV Doulos bringing books onboard a ship 5yrs ago, i think. But that ship was old but this was quite new and nice.

Jib's happy face climbing up the gangway to the ship, was priceless to me!

Inside we were given a short briefing about the ship, its purpose and pathways throughout the ship. Ok there were books aplenty. J rambang mata, semua nak beli. Mmg beli kat dia pun..mostly buku maths and puzzles.

It's actually a missionary ship. Yes, it sells books on board. But mostly it is a ship that goes around the world helping those in need silently in the name of Christianity. Yelah i still board the ship and buy the books sbb..why not? Bukan everyday ada ship yg dock bearing books. And i hope whatever money spent can be used for goodness. No need to be so narrow minded about everything in life. My only regret was if only umat M can group together and start this idea travelling together around the world kan bagus. Not only can you broaden your horizons, you can also provide assistance to communities in the name of Islam. Harum nama agama kita ;) The crew onboard are volunteers from various parts of the world working for free. In return they get free meals, lodging and get to travel on a ship to different places.

After viewing, browsing and paying for the books/ stationeries, everyone walked by a section whereby the ship displayed in colorful illustrations the choices one makes in life..to turn good/ not..to walk into a casino and gamble or not hehe! We were just happy to pose before rushing to buy ice cream! There was even a section where one can listen to a crew member relating his/ her life experiences and the path the person chose. Mmg bagus punya preaching. Again, kalaulah kita ada these resources and spread the love and generosity all around, sure fabulous. I wouldn't mind volunteering for a month or two.

A pic for keepsake. Me, mom and aunt..Cheers!
